Based on true stories, a Texas sharecropper's family moves to Kansas where the boy believes monsters lurk and that is why those bright streetlights must shine all night long. Things are strange. A free, lively, often politically incorrect, and sometimes downright dangerous era, the 50s were the very best time to be young, adventurous, and daring.
